Solving Supply Chain Challenges at the Gartner Supply Chain Conference

Posted by on May 11, 2015 4:36 pm

That’s one of the primary reasons we look forward to attending and participating in the conference. There’s no doubt that companies face a variety of supply chain challenges that, depending on the industry, continue to multiply as supply chains become larger and more complex. Today’s supply chain solutions should help overcome that complexity and deliver the end-to-end visibility and execution that the digital economy demands.

Gartner, Inc. published results of a survey distributed to pre-registered #GartnerSCC attendees that offer insight into why this show is a particularly important opportunity for all involved. Consider, for example, that a whopping 93% of respondents have some level of involvement with supply chain technology and services purchases—and of those, 36% are primary decision makers. What’s more? Seventy-six percent of attendees have purchasing involvement for the entire organization.

These decision makers share business challenges and what they’re looking for in a solution. It’s no surprise that, according to Gartner’s research, the solution showcase will be a popular destination—67% attendees are planning to visit at some point throughout the conference. Other popular attendance plans include theater presentations (59%) and sponsor case studies (57%). And through the course of the event, 80% plan to evaluate new products and technology providers—specifically those that can focus on helping them evolve their business in a real-time, mobile first world.

As The Mobile Supply Chain Company, that’s exactly what we’ll be doing throughout the show. At booth 208, we’ll have live demos available that showcase the breadth and depth of our mobile supply chain solutions, which are powered by an agile, robust mobile platform that makes it easy to configure and deploy the apps that will mobile-optimize key business processes and enable end-to-end supply chain visibility and execution.

And because customer case studies are a compelling way to further explore a real-world use case, we’re excited to share more from Old Dutch Foods and what they’ve accomplished as a result of implementing a mobile supply chain that includes a direct store delivery app to mobilize field sales wherever their drivers operate. To learn more, join us at noon on May 13 in Grand Canyon 8, Level 1.

Solving pervasive supply chain challenges can seem like a daunting task. Yet with the inspiration, innovation and information that abounds at the Gartner Supply Chain Executive Conference, it’s easy to turn that anxiety into excitement for what’s happening now and what’s ahead. See you in Phoenix, where we’ll be ready to help you turn the art of the possible into reality.
