Kansas City Welcomes Techweek, Continues Emergence as a Tech Hub

Posted by on September 11, 2015 4:08 pm

Thanks to a number of factors, including Google’s selection of Kansas City for the installation of Google Fiber, the city is quickly earning a reputation as a major tech and start-up hub—and is an ideal host for the growing Techweek brand, joining Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Miami and Detroit. More than 5,000 people are expected to attend Techweek Kansas City, immersing themselves in a schedule that includes everything from networking happy hours and fireside chats to office tours, keynotes and live demonstrations.

As a software company headquartered in Kansas City, we’re thrilled to see the city welcome this opportunity and we’re even more excited to participate as a platinum sponsor. All of us on #TeamDSI spend our days creating and building the digital solutions that solve our customers’ pervasive business and supply chain challenges. We’re eager for a chance to see similar problem solving and innovation in action across other industries and with a range of technologies.

Still putting the finishing touches on your Techweek KC agenda? There’s no shortage of insightful, educational and entertaining sessions and events. Our strategy is to attend as many as possible, but there’s one Techweek KC event that’s a can’t-miss: Friday’s announcement of the 10 LaunchKC winners, early-stage entrepreneurs who will each receive a $50,000 grant to help fund their tech ventures.

#TeamDSI employees will be out and about throughout Techweek, so if you see us, please say hi and introduce yourself. And whether you’re attending or watching from afar, stay tuned to the hashtag, #TechweekKC, to follow the action. For out-of-towners heading to Techweek, welcome to Kansas City. We have a lot to show you—and we’re so glad you’re here.
