Gold Eagle Co. Achieves Mobile Execution in the Warehouse

Posted by Patrice Farrell on Jun 5, 2015 4:29:25 PM

Gold Eagle Co. manufactures and distributes several leading brands of automotive chemicals that protect and boost vehicle performance. To continue to succeed in a competitive market, they had to overcome a challenge: manual processes that limited visibility and created other inefficiencies along the supply chain. Among those inefficiencies, delayed entry caused loss of inventory visibility, which further delayed transaction processing and led to inaccurate inventory statements down the line.

To improve inventory accuracy and optimize the sales order to ship process, Gold Eagle sought a mobile-first solution. They chose DSI's Digital Supply Chain Platform (DSCP)TM
for its certified, validated integration and for its flexibility to accommodate a seamless upgrade to the system of record and a transition to new handheld devices.

According to Mashaune Hardy, senior business analyst at Gold Eagle, “The DSCP ensures a true and accurate inventory statement at all times, thus facilitating a better sales order to ship process.” Now, Gold Eagle employees can create inventory and work order transactions in real time, while physically attending to inventory. That kind of mobile execution equips personnel to complete more orders, more accurately, without having to spend time on data entry.

The benefits of eliminating manual processes and improving automation in receiving, picking and inventory areas had other benefits as well. With real-time data available anywhere, the company is also empowered for better planning and management decisions and faster product movement.
